• I am Rebecca Lazos. I was born in San Angelo, TX. As a kid, I lived in the DFW area, Metairie, LA, and Clarkston, GA, outside of Atlanta. I went to Seagraves High School in west Texas. I started college at Angelo State University for the first 2-years. Then, I graduated with a BA in English from the University of South Florida. Later, I earned a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M at Central Texas. I am a LIFE LONG LEARNER.

I have taught English-Language Arts and Reading for over 25-years. I am as excited about this school year as I was the first year I started teaching. My driving desire is to see students have the tools they need to meet with success for their academic goals and throughout their life. I work to help students not only develop reading and writing skills, but I also want them to become active listeners, critical thinkers, and problem solvers.

Families and schools must work together to help prepare this generation for the future. I truly believe the African Proverb, it takes a village to raise a child. This message has never been more true. Students need many adults in his or her life to care, love, and guide them in their educational and personal endeavors. I am here to work with you for your student. Let’s stay in close communication and work together.

    With a full heart,

    Rebecca Lazos
