Jose Pesantez is the new OST Coordinator for Barbieri Elementary School. Born in Queens, NY, he was raised in both Ecuador and Massachusetts. Went to UMASS Lowell for Graphic Design, with a minor in Art History. This is his first year as an OST Coordinator. Having worked as a Campus Aide last year, Jose brings his knowledge of the students and the working relations he has built with the admin and teachers. Despite having a design background, Jose is passionate about building relationships with the students, being there for them as a mentor and leader, and always trying to educate them in the right direction. He continues to look forward to building relationships with the parents and assisting them in any way possible. A few of his interests are sports; specifically soccer, basketball and boxing. Liverpool FC and the Celtics are his pride and joy. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, going to basketball games, and going to the gym. He is looking forward to continuing to build relationships with parents and school staff, but more importantly, engaging and helping our students; the future of this nation!
