Welcome!
I am excited about starting my first year with Cabarrus County Schools here at Mt. Pleasant High School. Previously, I have worked in various rolls as a social worker within Cabarrus County. I am a native of Michigan and have lived in Cabarrus County for the last 12 years. I graduated from Adrian College with a bachelors degree in Social Work. I received my master’s in social work from Winthrop University.
As the School Social Worker, my goal is to be a liaison between the school, the home and the community; partnering with families to help break down any barriers a student may be experiencing and help them become the most successful person they can be. Some of the services I provide include, but are not limited to, crisis intervention, parent education, family outreach, information/referrals to community resources, attendance monitoring/intervention, and McKinney-Vento/homeless education support.
Students can be referred by teachers, counselors, administrators, parents or self. Please contact me if your child or family needs assistance.
