Mr. Helms

I am so excited about this school year! This will be my sixth year as a teacher here at Weddington Hills. This year our goal will be to grow into the best we can be! One of my favorite things about teaching is seeing students' excitement and pride when they have a "light bulb moment" and understand a concept. Our classroom theme this year is MARVELous Students! We use my collection of Marvel Legends action figures in our behavior system. They are also a great reminder of how we can be a superhero every day by working hard and doing the right thing. When I am not in school I love to play soccer, read a book, listen to music (bluegrass, country, or rock), grill out and watch a good movie.
