Welcome! I am so excited to be your student's teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I began my teaching career at Weddington Hills as a student teacher for the 3rd grade. Last year I taught 4th grade reading, but ended up having the amazing opportunity to transition back to 3rd grade where it all began!  I recently had a baby at the beginning of August and will be out on maternity leave until October, but I am so excited to build a partnership with you and your student. 

I am originally from Wake Forest, North Carolina. Due to transferring to colleges and my husband's transition out of the military, I have lived all over the state of North Carolina (Boone, Charlotte, Sneads Ferry, and now Concord!). I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Urban Youth and Communities. My husband and I are parents to a 3-year-old named Wyatt, a newborn named Aubrey, and a lab mix named Remi. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking, and crafting.
