Ms. Vanessa Perez

WELCOME TO DLI 4^TH GRADE

My name is Vanessa Perez Campo. I am from Cali, Colombia – South America. I recently moved to Charlotte with my family. 

I received my bachelor’s degree as a Foreign Language Teacher from Universidad Santiago de Cali, Colombia. I have been an elementary teacher for about 11 years. Most of them in K-2. I started teaching in upper grades (5^th) in Colombia and then I had the opportunity to work in North Carolina for 5 years (2014-2019) at Union County Public Schools for the Dual Language Immersion Program as a K-2 Spanish lead teacher. Then, I moved back to my home country for three years and I worked at an international IB school. I am really excited to come back to continue sharing my experience and I am thrilled to be your new Fourth Grade teacher at Weddington Hills Elementary School.

Ms. Fermin and I will work together to offer your child a great school year full of meaningful experiences and lots of fun. We really look forward to working with you in order to achieve all the goals set in 4^th grade.
