My name is Jerry Goodnight, and I feel blessed to be your teacher this year! This is my 9th year teaching, and my 8th year at Winkler and I'm so excited that you and I will share our classroom this year! I have a passion for teaching American History, especially through critical, historical inquiry, and love teaching middle school!

I focus on making my classroom inclusive, rigorous, and enjoyable, and do this through a focus on social and educational equity and community. This class is not easy, but it will be fun (I promise)! You will work hard, laugh, gain skills that will be applicable to the rest of your life, and will learn a couple of life lessons along the way. I'm so happy we get to share this school year together!

    Progress Reports and Report Cards PowerSchool Parent Portal: All families have online access to PowerSchool.

    The user name and password have remained the same throughout your child's time in Cabarrus County Schools.

    For the mobile app, the Cabarrus County code is HXBT. This program allows families to access grades throughout the year as they are posted in the online gradebook. Printed copies of progress reports and report cards will no longer be sent home.
