Hello! I am Mrs. Banks and this is my fourth year teaching at Winkler Middle! The last three years, I have been teaching 7th Grade ELA and ALPs classes. This year, I will be operating in a new role as a Reading Interventionist! I will be helping students with their reading skills in their ELA classroom.  I have 25 years of teaching experience. I am originally from Mansfield/Cleveland Ohio. I am a graduate of Ashland University in Ashland Ohio.  My husband and I moved to North Carolina in July 2000. My career in education started in the Cleveland Charter Schools in 1997.  I have taught and worked with elementary students for most of my teaching career.

My husband and I are happy parents to 5 amazing girls! My oldest daughter will be beginning her sophomore year at A & T University this fall!  I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to an amazing year of learning and especially getting to know each of you!
