About Ms. Gowin: I received my bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology from S.U.N.Y. Cortland in upstate New York. I had such a positive experience at Cortland that I decided to stay and earn my masters degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading directly after graduation. The 2022-2023 school year will be my 20th year teaching. I taught 4th grade for 7 years at Weddington Hills Elementary School. I then taught 6th grade science for one year at Harris Road Middle School. This is my 12th year teaching 6th grade science at Winkler Middle School.
