Mrs. Shannon Dolan

My name is Shannon Dolan and I work with students in kindergarten, first, and second grade.  This will be my 12th year at Harrisburg Elementary School.  I received an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Health Science at Penn State University and a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from Duquesne University.  I've had previous counseling experience in a community mental health setting.  

The role of a school counselor is to help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development, and career development, ensuring today's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.  I work with students by providing individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom guidance lessons based on the NC Guidance Essential Standards.  If you have any questions regarding the school counseling program, feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone.  I look forward to hearing from you!
