Types of Entrance Exams

  • You have options! You can take the ACT or the SAT to get into a four year university or college.

     

    • ACT - This exam is similar to the SAT and the largest difference is that it contains a science section. It is accepted by all colleges across the country. All NC juniors get to take a FREE ACT! Sophomores will also take a free Pre-ACT.
    • SAT - This exam is similar to the ACT and is most commonly taken on the East and West coast of the US. It is accepted by all colleges across the country. Juniors have the option to take a free PSAT.

Why?

  • Why should you take these tests?

     

    • To be admitted to a 4-year Public University in North Carolina you must have an ACT score of at least 17 or an SAT score of at least 880.
