Welcome to AIG and my classroom!!  This is my eighteenth year of teaching in Cabarrus County.  I previously taught 2nd and 3rd grade before becoming an AIG specialist.  I graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and again in 2008 with a Master's Degree in Reading Education.  In 2010, I became National Board Certified in Literacy and Reading and received my renewal certificate in November 2020.  Most recently, in May 2022, I obtained my Graduate Certificate in AIG from UNC-Charlotte.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 11 year old daughter Carrigan, and my 7 year old son Noah.
