Mrs. Laura Rodgers

Hello and welcome to West Cabarrus!  I am teaching Math 1 and Math 2 at West Cabarrus this year.  I have taught math in North Carolina for twenty years, ranging from sixth grade to the community college level.  I received my undergraduate teaching degree in Middle Grades Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my master's degree in Middle Grades Education (with an emphasis in Mathematics) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  I grew up in Charlotte and graduated from South Mecklenburg High School.  I have lived in the beautiful town of Albemarle (Stanly County) now for twenty-two years. I live there with my husband, my three boys, my two cats, and one dog named Cali.
