WM Irvin Elementary School
Positive Behavioral Interventions Support
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture and needs for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success. Positive discipline and class or morning meetings will be used to teach expectations and help students increase their knowledge on school expectations.
Here at Irvin, we use the letters S.O.A.R to identify schoolwide expectations.
S - Safety First
O- Being Orderly
A- Always do your Best
R- Respect Yourself and Others
Throughout the school year, students will work hard to reach the weekly incentive that is given in the classroom. They will also work hard to reach the quarterly goal in which they can receive the 4 quarterly incentives that are planned for the school year.
