  • Mrs. Emily Francis, W.M. Irvin's Teacher of the Year!

    Congratulations to Mrs. Francis who has been selected as the 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year. She makes significant contributions to the entire school, builds great relationships with students and staff, demonstrates a wide range of content knowledge over a variety of subjects, and works with our ESL population to master language skills. Her Cinco de Mayo Festival and parent celebrations are known throughout the community. She is proud to be a teacher and her positivity radiates throughout the building! We are proud to call her an Irvin Eagle!

  • Mrs. Chris Roseman, W.M. Irvin's Teacher Assistant of the Year

    Congratulations to Mrs. Roseman on being selected by her peers as this year’s Teacher Assistant of the Year. Working with students is her passion, and everyday she is teaching 4 LLI groups and 1 DI group. She is always positive about the extra work and planning that it takes, and does it with a positive attitude. She is also very artistic and anytime the school needs banners or signs she makes them. In additional to all of this, she organizes the four blood drives every year. Congratulations Mrs. Roseman on this well-deserved honor.

  • Students' Art Selected for Cabarrus County Art Guide

    Congratulations to the following student for having art selected to go into the Cabarrus County Art Guide: Jayden Stone, Grace Whitley, Addison Witmer, Cade Eaton, Jahron Yarborough, and Ella Critz. The Cabarrus County School's art walk will be on display at the Cabarrus County Art Guide from March 1st to April 21st. The Cabarrus County Art Guide is located at 11 Union Street.

  • Cabarrus County Education Foundation Awards Grants

    Cabarrus County Education Foundation recently awarded four of Irvin's teachers grants. Congratulations to Melissa Brantley, Kate Culbreth, Emily Francis, and Evelyn O'Connor for applying and being selected. The project allowances range between $250 and $500, and these teachers will be receive their checks at a recognition ceremony in the Board Room of the Education Center. All money received will be used to buy resources for our students. Congratulations to our staff and THANKS CCEF!

  • Sarah Lewis, CCS Hilbish Ford Teacher of the Month

    Congratulations to Sarah Lewis, Kindergarten Teacher, who was selected as the CCS Hilbish Ford Teacher of the Month for December. Sarah will be recognized at the Cabarrus County School’s Board of Education meeting on Monday December 14th. We are proud of you Mrs. Lewis!

  • Academy Sports Donates PE Equipment

    The students at Irvin are playing with new equipment Academy Sports recently donated PE equipment to our PE department. Mr. Burris, the PE teacher, worked with company to receive it. Thanks Academy Sports!
