Her students brag that she teaches through song. "Ms. Knapp taught me about rainforests in a song we are singing. Junior Charity League   Irvin Students and Staff Give Back to Community

Irvin continues to give back to our community. Irvin was one of eleven schools who recently completed fundraising drives to benefit A Change of Clothes, an effort sponsored by the Junior Charity League of Concord (JCL). Our schools raised more than $13,000 and collected hundreds of pairs of gloves and socks and other items for JCL store.  JCL provides a supply of basic clothing and toiletries to CCS students in need. The organization works with school counselors and social workers to identify students in need. The students are transported to the JCL store to ‘shop’ for the items.  Schools that participated in this year’s drive were: Harrisburg, W.M. Irvin, Beverly Hills, Boger, Bethel, Pitts School Road, Royal Oaks and Mount Pleasant Elementary; C.C. Griffin Middle and Hickory Ridge High.
