Ms. Destiny Harris

Hello Raptors! Welcome to the Roberta Road Middle family! My name is Destiny Harris, and I will be serving as your child’s Art teacher! This will be my tenth year in education and my first in the middle school setting. I am extremely excited to share my passion with you all as I step into a new role! When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family! We have a 6th-grade daughter who will attend RRMS this year, and a son who is 4 years old, and just began preschool at the MFW center! When I am not at work I enjoy creating and reading. I look forward to fostering creativity, perseverance, and an appreciation of art with my students. I truly believe all students can create!

My Classroom:

My students and I will work diligently to create an environment that encourages kindness, exploration, collaboration, and creativity, all while we learn what our curriculum has to offer. I am looking forward to bringing art to life by exposing our artists to a multitude of techniques and resources! Building a classroom community is extremely important to me, and I am looking forward to learning about your children and supporting them throughout their art education journey. We will work together to ensure that with hard work and dedication our Raptors will work hard, grow together, and develop the skills and characteristics to change the world.
