Salma Vandyke

Hello, my name is Salma Vandyke, and I will be teaching 6th Grade Social Studies for the 2022-2023 school year. This is my first year working in Cabarrus County Schools.  I am so honored and excited to be working with your students here at RRMS. 

             I, myself, am a product of Cabarrus County Schools. I attended Bethel Elementary, C. C Griffin Middle, and graduated from Central Cabarrus High School in 2018. During this time, I found my love for education and, specifically, language Arts and history. I knew by the time I graduated that I wanted to be an educator. Following my graduation, I attended Appalachian State University, where I studied Middle Grades Education (6-8) with a concentration in Social Studies and English Literature . 

I share with you as I will with your students on their first few days in my class, that we are learning together. I live by the mantra that we are life-long learners! I can not wait to get to learn more about you and your students this year.
