Hi, I'm Mrs. Friends. Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am one of Roberta Road's 6th grade math and social studies teachers.
I graduated from Appalachian State University and obtained my B.S. in Elementary Education (K-6). I started my teaching career in elementary school, and taught 4th and 5th grade. Since then, I have made the transition to teaching middle school. This will be my 5th year teaching in Cabarrus County Schools!
I live in Harrisburg with my husband, and our dog, Macklin. Many nights are dedicated to watching and cheering for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Bruins, or Celtics. We love to travel and visit new cities. Our dream is to visit Scotland one day! While we love adventure, we also enjoy the simplicity of everyday life in our little town. We frequent Rocky River Coffee, and other local spots. We eagerly await the Fall season, in which we cozy up in the backyard around the fire. You might also catch me reading, painting, or sketching.
