Team Empathetic Otters

              Hello, my name is Katie Wiggins, and I will be teaching 6th grade math/science for the 2022-2023 school year. This is my 14th year teaching middle school and 9th year at Cabarrus County Schools.  I began my career in CMS at Cochrane Middle. After 5 years, I moved to JN Fries where I have spent the last 8 years. I am so excited and privileged to be here at Roberta Road for this inaugural year. 

             I attended Western Carolina University, where I studied Elementary Education K-6. During this time, I was part of the WCU cheerleading team for 4 years. GO CATS! Cullowhee will always hold a special place in my heart and is an amazing place to go to school. 

        I live at home with my husband, 2 children and 2 German Shepherds, Daisy and Jax. I have a 10 year old daughter named Taylor and a 7 year old son named Luke.  As a family, we love to go to Lake Wateree,  visit the beach (Avon, OBX) , travel to Disney, and watch Alabama ROLL TIDE Football.
