WELCOME TO AIG! I am the AIG Specialist for Harrisburg Elementary! I have been teaching for 17 years, and this is my 10th year at HES. I have taught first, third, and fourth grades in the regular education classroom, and this is my fourth year teaching gifted education. I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2005 with a BA in Elementary Education. I earned National Board Certification in 2010 and have successfully maintained certification since then. I also earned AIG Certification in 2018 and my Masters degree in Teacher Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction in 2019, both from Gardner-Webb University.
I grew up in Greenville, North Carolina. My husband and I have two daughters (Zaria is a 9th grader and Zoe is a 4th grader) and a Malshi puppy named Hazel. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family, crafting on my Cricut, reading, watching movies, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers during football season!
I am excited to continue to work with the students at HES! Thanks for your support of our AIG program!
