Ms. Evelyn (Elaine) O'Connor

My name is Evelyn (Elaine) O'Connor and this is my 8th year teaching at W.M. Irvin. I have previously taught kindergarten and 1st grade, and this year I am very excited to join a new team in 4th grade. I have three children, two boys and a girl. Both my boys have graduated high school and working on college careers, and my daughter is a junior at Concord high school this year. All three of my children have gone through Irvin Elementary, it is a great school to be a part of. I was born and raised in Ireland, and Gaeilge is my first language and English my second. I lived in Pennsylvania for seven years and now happy to call Concord, NC my home. During my free time, I love spending time with family, reading, and running. (training for a 1/2 marathon this year!) I love fostering dogs from the concord Humane society until they find their fur-ever homes. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BA in Elementary Education.
