Mr. Michael Woody

Hello, My name is Michael Woody and I am the K-2 counselor here at W. M. Irvin Elementary. I am so excited about starting my counseling career with the Irvin family and I am blessed to be working with such an awesome staff and student body. I received my Bachelor's in Social Work degree from Liberty University, and my Master's in Social Work degree from Johnson C. Smith University. I have worked in the school system for almost 20 years as an ISS Coordinator but wanted to do more to help and support our children, so I decided to choose the career path of a school counselor. 

Our counseling services at W.M Irvin include: individual counseling, small group counseling, lunch buddies, academic and behavioral support, crisis intervention and support, outside referrals, collaboration and consultation with community resources, and family support.
