Mrs. Alexandra Hense

Hello, my name is Alexandra Hense and I am the 3rd - 5th grade counselor at W.M. Irvin! I am so excited for this year! This is my first year at W.M. Irvin and my second year as a school counselor. I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2019 with my Bachelors in Public Health and I graduated with my Masters in Professional School Counseling in 2021. I love being a school counselor. I am passionate about supporting and advocating for students and their families. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need anything. Counseling Services include: individual counseling, small group counseling, lunch buddies, academic and behavioral support, crisis intervention and support, outside referrals, collaboration and consultation with community resources, and family support. 

The mission of the W.M. Irvin Elementary School’s Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive service to ALL students that will address their social- emotional, academic, and career goals. The counselors will provide a supportive environment with high expectations for student success.
