Mrs. Burris

My name is Melissa Burris and I am thrilled to be a part of the Irvin Elementary family!  I am originally from Southwest Virginia where I graduated from Radford University earning a BA in Elementary Education. After graduation, I moved to the great state of North Carolina where I attended UNCC and earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. This will be my 24th year at W.M. Irvin Elementary and my 25th year of teaching in Cabarrus County!  I have loved every minute of teaching here and am looking forward to another great year as an Irvin Eagle!

Mi nombre es Melissa Burris y estoy encantada de ser parte de la familia de Irvin Elementary. Soy originaria de Southwest Virginia, donde me gradué de la Universidad de Radford obteniendo una licenciatura en Educación Primaria. Después de graduarme, me mudé al gran estado de Carolina del Norte, donde asistí a la UNCC y obtuve una Maestría en Educación Primaria. Este será mi vigésimo 24th en W.M. Irvin Elementary y mi 25º año de enseñanza en el condado de Cabarrus. Me encantó cada minuto de enseñanza aquí y espero otro gran año como Irvin Eagle.
