Teaching is my calling. It's my passion. Nothing makes me happier than working in my classroom and being greeted by those smiling faces that are ready to learn.
I am a graduate of UNCC where I earned both my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education along with my Masters degree in Elementary Education for K-6. I began teaching 4th grade at my home school, Beverly Hills Elementary for 2 years before deciding to move to WM Irvin Elementary where I taught 1st grade for 17 years. This is my 8th year at MP with this being my 7th year in Kindergarten. I couldn't wait to jump back into primary grades. I'm that teacher that loves her littles and watching them learn to read.
Personally, I am a wife and mother of 3. Colin attends UNCC, so GO NINERS and Olivia Grace is my roaring MP Junior. Sarah is my last little MPMS tiger. When I'm not at school, I'm busy watching baseball or at the dance and tumble with my girls. Life is busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
