Ms. Tahnia Sykes

Hello! I am Tahnia Sykes and I am thrilled to be teaching at Irvin again this year. Growing children academically and socially are my biggest goal in fourth grade. Experiences at school should be exciting, memorable and safe. I hope your student is ready to join "Ms. Sykes's Learning Multiverse"! 

I was born and raised in Kinston, NC. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's in English and a concentration on Language, Writing and Rhetoric. Reading and writing are my biggest passions.  I enjoy watching Marvel movies and comics. When I am not working, I am home with my four children, McKenzie and MiKaela(twins)(11), Thomas(6) and Lorri Ann(5).
