Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies!

Hello! My name is Sara Moon and I will be your Social Studies teacher. I graduated from Old Dominion University and earned my degree in history and secondary education. I am currently  completing my masters in curriculum and instruction. Prior to teaching, I served in the United States Navy which cultivated my love of travel, culture and history. I also love reading, hiking, kayaking and cooking. I have 3 children, ages 14 and 10 (twins), and a cat. This is my first year with Cabarrus County and I am very excited  to be part of the Titan family! 

For 7th grade Social Studies, you will have the opportunity to explore the history of the world  beginning with the Medieval times continuing on through modern times. While factual information  continues to be the backbone of the curriculum, the emphasis shifts to having students apply  the content to the world around them.
