Mr. Nicely

Hi.  I am David Nicely and I am the Logistics teacher at West Cabarrus. We are fortunate enough to be the only Logistics program in Cabarrus County. This will be my second year teaching after over 43 years in the Airline/Transportation industry.  I feel with my industry experience, I have a lot of knowledge to share and will help build the foundation that will begin a successful start to the industry of Logistics.

I am originally from West Virginia.  I moved to Virginia to start my career in the airline industry with Alleghany Airlines (now American Airlines) when I was 18 years old.  I moved to Concord from Norfolk, VA in 1989 to continue my career at Charlotte-Douglas Airport and retired from the industry in 2020.  The majority of my work was in the warehouse and catering department, which is where I gained most of the experience and knowledge I plan to pass along to students as they build an interest in Logistics.
