8^th Grade ELA Teacher

     Hello! My name is Sonya Jenkins, and I am thrilled to say that I teach eighth grade English Language Arts here at Biloxi Junior High School. Go Indians!

     I am a native of Biloxi and a proud graduate of Biloxi Public Schools. I completed my undergraduate studies at Tougaloo College where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Also, I pursued my postgraduate studies at William Carey College and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Education.

     Teaching is one of the great joys in my life. Therefore, it is an honor to serve as an educator. Each year, I look forward to building new relationships with students and witnessing their academic growth and progress throughout the year. Without a doubt, this year is no exception. I anticipate wonderful things ahead in 8^th Grade ELA!
