Hola! I am Sra. Torres and the Spanish Teacher from BJHS! I am excited about teaching and introducing the students to the world of the Spanish language and other cultures. 

I was born in Veracruz, Mexico and I moved to Mississippi 8 years ago with my husband. We have two children, Samantha (12) and Samuel (6) and our rescued dog "Guapo" (handsome in Spanish).

I am a Marine Biologist as well. Before I moved to the USA, I used to work in the aquarium of my state as a "Penguin Trainer" in the Marine Mammals Department. 

Since I remember, I have always liked to learn other languages and communicate with people from other countries and cultures. I am currently learning Italian and American Sign Language. I just love languages!
