Parents/Guardians & Students,

            Welcome to the Biloxi Junior High 8^th grade Science family.  I am so excited about getting to know all of my students, educating them, and helping them succeed this year and in their future.  My name is Mrs. Jennifer Johnson, some call me Coach Johnson.  I am originally from Pascagoula, MS and graduated from Pascagoula High School.  I obtained a softball scholarship to Pearl River Community College where I earned my Associates Degree and was a pitcher for the softball team for 2 years. After my 2 years at PRCC, I went to the University of Southern Miss and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sports Coaching Education.  I continued my education at William Carey University where I earned my Master's Degree in the Art of teaching-secondary education.  I am married to my wonderful husband, and we have 2 beautiful daughters. 

     Communication is very important in creating strong home/school partnerships in order for your child to succeed in my class and in school.  If your email or phone number you entered when registering your child is wrong, please email me Jennifer.Johnson@biloxischools.net with an updated email address or phone number.   Please include your name & your child’s name so I may change/correct any information I have on file for you.  I use parent square and remind messaging to communicate with both you and your child about important information for my Science class.  I have included Remind message instructions for you and your child to sign up to receive notifications of upcoming due dates & reminders for my Science class.  I post on the stream of Google Classroom daily everything that will be completed in class each day.  If your child is out or will be out for some time, please email me or send me a message through parent square, or Remind, so I can provide information to you/your child about the work he/she will miss while out.  I also send out weekly emails with the plan of the week for what your child will be doing in my class.  Email is the best method for getting in touch with me quickly.
