My name is Donna Giles.  I am the Work Based Learning teacher at Etowah High School.  I am beginning my 24th year teaching.  I have been a teacher at Etowah for 16 of those years.  

I graduduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, AL and continued my education at the University of Montevallo.  I earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science from Montevallo.  I also hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from The University of Montevallo.

I am married to Charlton Giles and we are the parents of two daughters ages 15 and 12.  Outside of school, you will probably find me attending one of their many athletic events.  We are also very active in our church, where I enjoy teaching the high school girls' Sunday School class.

In my time at home you may find me experimenting with new recipes.  I prefer cooking, not so much cleaning up afterward!  Finally, when possible I try to create a little time for running.  I have completed 4 half marathons and find that running is a great way to stay fit and maintain energy for my busy life!
