Although my given name is Cynthia, my friends call me Cyndi. I have been married for thirty-one years, have two grown sons, two daughters-in-law, three granddaughters and a grandson. I am blessed with wonderful family, friends, and colleagues. I enjoy sharing my faith, reading, cooking, camping, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing at the beach. My passion is teaching! I have been teaching or preaching in some capacity most of my life. I serve as a volunteer pastor and teacher at Gadsden Christian Fellowship and as the administrator of our Thrive School of Ministry.

I entered the field of education later in life and have been teaching in the Attalla School system since 2003. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education History from Jacksonville State University, later added a degree in English Language Arts, and earned a Master's in English from the University of Alabama. I have earned several classes towards an EdS in English Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently working on an additional Master Degree in School Counseling. I also hold a certificate in Cosmetology and a Ministerial Ordination Certificate. I am thankful for the opportunity to teach English Language Arts at Etowah High School. In addition to teaching, I serve as the ELA Department Head. I also assist the principal with ongoing professional development for the teachers in our school. I serve on the PST, the EHS Leadership Team and the Attalla City Schools Leadership Team. I have a genuine love for this school system and community.
