I am very excited that I am teaching 7th grade World History this year in the Virtual Academy! This is a quick overview of my educational and teaching background over the past 20 years:

B.A. in History from California State Fullerton

M.S. in Education with an emphasis in Special Education

Single Subject Credential in Social Science

Single Subject Credential in English

Education Specialist Credential for Mild/Moderate Disabilities

Teacher Librarian Credential

1 year Resource Specialist at the elementary level

4 years as a Resource Specialist at Villegas

8 years teaching in various subjects: English, History, and English Intervention at Villegas 

5 years teaching special education in the four core subjects at Villegas Middle School

2 years as the Teacher Librarian at Villegas

Presently, I only teach World History

I love teaching middle school and enjoy working with all students. Over my career, I have been blessed to work in a variety of different settings at Villegas Middle School. This year will be a great adventure and learning experience in the newly created Virtual Academy.

As a teacher, I believe that every student has the ability to learn and the right to have access to a safe and caring classroom.
