During the Summative SBAC assessment a student could get stuck on a question for a considerable amount of time. A Hot Text question is an item that students get stuck on. An example of a hot text question is where the student has to click 1 word in a paragraph. Hot text means the student clicks the word and it becomes highlighted. The student gets stuck when they try to click a word that is not hot text. The secret to share with your students is to look at your cursor and wait for it to turn in to a hand.   The cursor will only turn into a hand when an answer is possible. When running the SBAC assessment, Google Chrome wants to block the pop-ups for test administration. Normally you have to unblock the pop-ups each time you administer an assessment.
