Belief Statement:
All students in the Alvord Unified School District (AUSD) will have equitable access to the school counseling program that addresses their academic, career and personal/social development. As an integral part of the educational program, Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credentialed School Counselors will provide equitable services in support of our diverse student population achieving its highest potential.
Mission Statement:
The Alvord Unified School District in partnership with educators, students, parents/ guardian(s), and community, is committed to providing a student-centered comprehensive and developmentally appropriate School Counseling and Support Services Program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social needs of all students grades 6-12. AUSD Pupil Personnel Services Credentialed Professional School Counselors (E.C. 49600) will deliver an integrated support system that provides students with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to be academically successful, healthy, and productive members of society. The District Counseling and Support Services Program seeks to remain relevant in the face of the constantly changing student, family, school, and community needs.
