The document below gives you a view of all of the high-frequency words that first-grade students need to learn by the end of the school year.  This document will be included in your child's homework folder, also.  Each week your child will need to learn five or six new high-frequency words.  Practice the new week's words every day with your child.  Practice the words from previous weeks one day per week, so your child does not forget them.  I will be testing your child on these words at the end of each unit.
