I look forward to working with you and your child this year. 3rd grade will be a year of curriculum milestones.  In Language Arts, your child will spend less time learning to read and more time reading to learn.  They will build a foundation of knowledge through reading and listening to both literature and informational books.  In Math, your child will be introduced to multiplication & division.  They will also begin to develop an understanding of fractions. By the end of the year, you will be amazed at how much your child has grown into a more independent learner.  Your student will however need your support throughout the year.  Thank you in advance for your support in their learning. 

     Let me share a little bit about myself. I have been married to my wonderful husband for over 20 years.  We live in Riverside and have two teenage children.  I am a graduate of California State University, San Bernardino where I received my B.S. in Liberal Studies as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  My goal is to return to school soon for my Masters Degree in Special Education.  I have been teaching at Valley View Elementary since 2003.  In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, vacationing with my family, and watching professional football.  GO 49ERS!!
