Welcome to 5th Grade!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Crocker and I will be your 5th grade teacher! This will be my 20th year teaching at Valley View Elementary. I taught 8 years in 3rd grade, and this will be my 12th year in 5th grade. I love teaching 5th grade and all the learning and fun we get to have. This year Valley View will be participating in AVID Elementary. Students will learn how to manage their time and assignments. Common Core instruction will continue to take place in my class, your student will need your support throughout the year.  Thank you in advance for your support in their academics.

I went to the University of California, Riverside, where I played on the women's softball team, Go Highlanders! There I received a BA in Liberal Studies and a minor in Spanish.  I received my teaching credentials from the University of Redlands, and a Master in Reading from Walden University.  I love reading, vacationing, and watching sports with my family.

My husband and I live in Riverside with our 2 children, Bella and Chase. We also have a black lab, Bailey. 

Our class university this year will be the University of Notre Dame, Go Fighting Irish! Students will be learning about this univeristy through out the year.

In order to have a successful year, students will have to be prepared and ready to learn. I will be asking for donations through out the year. Most important are Expo Markers, Kleenex boxes, lined paper, glue sticks, colored pens, and pencils.  Please check the Classroom Supplies page for more information.
