Welcome

Hello Vikings! I am Maestra Avina, Second Grade Dual Language Immersion teacher at Valley View Elementary! I am so honored and excited to be your teacher this year! 

Let me share a little bit about myself. I graduated high school locally from Notre Dame then attended RCC where I got to play college soccer. I then transfered to Cal State Fullerton and received a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. I worked in the field for a few years and felt like it was not my calling. I decided to go back to school and become a teacher! It is what I always wanted to be growing up. I received my both a Masters in Teaching and Learning as well as my credential from the University of Redlands. Becoming a teacher was the best decision ever!!!  I have also coached high school girls soccer for Alvord at La Sierra and Hillcrest High School. 

I currently live in Eastvale with my husband and two boys. My oldest is also a Valley View Viking! I love watching sports, riding off-road vehicles, crafting, traveling and spending as much time as I can with my family and friends.
