The Breakfast & Lunch Program

South Colonie Schools offer breakfast and lunch to all students. If there is a two-hour delay, no breakfast will be served in any buildings except for the high school.

LINQ Connect 

The TITAN online payment program is a secure and convenient way to pay for their child’s meals.
    • After creating an account, parents can:
    • Add money to meal accounts
    • Monitor student account activity
    • Transfer money from siblings
    • Meal applications
    • Set spending limits
    • Receive low balance notifications
We encourage parents to utilize the pre-payment option.

Free and Reduced Priced Meals Available For Qualifying Families

South Colonie participates in the National School Lunch Program providing nutritious meals for all students. Free and reduced meals are provided daily based on household size and income. Reduced meals are provided to families at no cost. All information is kept strictly confidential. To see whether your family qualifies for this program all you need to do is complete an application available at your child’s school or you may contact the South Colonie Food Service Department at (518) 869-3576. Only one application needs to be submitted per household. You will be notified within in 4-5 business days if you qualify for the program. An application package is also included as an insert in the South Colonie calendar mailed to parents’ homes in August or may be downloaded below. Parents are encouraged to submit the completed application to their child’s school or district office BEFORE the start of school each year.

Did you know that many families that qualify for Free and Reduced priced meals are also eligible for discounted or reduced priced internet. Visit the Affordable Connectivity Program section for more information.


Affordable Connectivity Program

The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC program that helps connect families and households struggling to afford internet service.

The Connectivity Program provides:

    • Up to $30/month discount for broadband service
    • Up to $75/month discount for households on qualifying Tribal lands
    • A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet purchased through a participating provider if the household contributes more than $10 but less than $50 toward the purchase price.

The Affordable Connectivity Program is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household.

How to Apply

To apply, you can fill out an application (either online, by mail, or through a participating service provider) and submit documentation verifying your child/children receives school meal benefits through the National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program.
