Reading Strategies Students are taught specific reading strategies to use when they come to the point of difficulty in their reading. It is important for students to be given the appropriate "tools" to become successful independent readers. Reading strategies are introduced, modeled and continuously practiced using the students' texts. The strategies below are introduced based on grade level, reading development and/or reading level. When working with your child at home, please be mindful of the language used to help reinforce what they are learning in reading.
