Scholar Bowl Fun in the Classroom

Mrs. Valentlne's elective class had a fun day on Friday, March 5, and was introduced to the basics of Scholar Bowl. Most students were familiar with the concept of Scholar Bowl but had never been to a meet. The class followed the same rules as much as possible. They were divided into 2 teams. There was a timer, a scorekeeper, and a recognizer while Mrs. Valentine was the reader. The teams picked their own names, brushed upon prior knowledge, learned some strategy, had some friendly competition all while being respectful to one another while playing. The questions were taken from a set of trivia cards and most everyone was able to score. The students absolutely had a blast and requested that we play again soon. Our class wants to wish our Putnam County R-1 Scholar Bowl teams the best of luck this season. We are rooting for you.
