2nd grade news

Dear Parents,

March has finally arrived! Please make sure that your student has the appropriate gear for playing outside.

I am sending home notes in regards to parent-teacher conferences. They are enclosed in the Friday folder.

Next week in:

Communication Arts: We will continue working on r controlled vowels, silent letters, sequencing, irregular nouns and verbs.

Spelling: A practice list is in the Friday folder!

Math: We will be working on solving problems with dollar bills, reasoning with money, telling time to the nearest 5 minutes, telling time before and after the half hour and a.m. and p.m..

Social Studies/Science:  We will be finishing our maps unit. The test will be on Friday, March 8.

Upcoming Events:

March 11-14- Scholastic Book Fair

March 13 - full day

March 14- Snow Day #3 - - school is in session (full day)

March 15 -Snow Day #4 - school is in session (12:15 early out, Parent Teacher Conferences)

March 15 - Parent Teacher Conferences - 1:00 - 4:00
