Weather Cancellations and Delays

Trick? or Treat! I think it is an appropriate declaration for the weather we have been having this week. Dependent upon your "preference" for the seasons, it may be a Trick? or Treat! In my 19 years as a Superintendent, I have now delayed or canceled school due to "winter" weather beginning now in October clear through to the month of May.

I just wanted to take a moment and remind everyone that our decisions to delay school, cancel school or dismiss school early because of weather and road conditions are communicated through a variety of ways. They are as follows: (Tv) KTVO, (Radio); KMEM, KRES, KIRX, KZBK, KTTN, KCOG. It is also posted on the Putnam County R-I website and Facebook page. It is also sent via a school messenger usually from Mrs. Klinginsmith, Mr. Tipton or myself.

As the weather has indicated, it appears that winter is here. It also appears that we may have a particularly active winter weather season.
