Welcome!

I am Cathy Takayoshi and this is my 24th year of teaching Kindergarten.  I love working with children at this age and stage of development; they are curious, eager to learn, energetic and full of life! I find Kindergarten to be a most important beginning year, setting the stage and foundation for the years to follow. 

I began teaching at a Catholic, parish school in Seattle for my first 8 years. I came to the Mukilteo School District 16 years ago, teaching at Olivia Park for 13 years and the past 3 years here at our new Kindergarten Center.  Pathfinder is a wonderful place to teach and learn! We will work hard to help your child grow in a positive, engaging environment. 

I live with my husband in Everett. We have a grown son who is a high school principal. He is married to an educator and they have 3 wonderful children, my grandchildren!  I also have a grown daughter who lives and works in New York City.  I enjoy visiting with my family and friends, travel, reading, hiking in nature, and arts and crafts in my spare time.
