At MTHS we strive to not only give our students the best education possible but also to help prepare them for the world ahead. We could not do this without the amenities the high school has to offer, such as Chromebooks/Dell laptops for every student, student learning areas, collaborative learning rooms, and much more! Work-study programs and partnerships with Great Oaks allow further opportunities for MTHS students to become mature and responsible citizens of our great community.
Additionally, we are thankful for the opportunity to provide our students with extracurricular activities, which include but are not limited to, fall play, Freshman, JV and Varsity Sports, band, spring musical, Key Club, Allies, FFA, Mock Trial, and numerous show choirs. Many of our students participate in several of these organizations, often while also working and maintaining their schoolwork, which is just one of the many reasons Miami Trace High School is so proud of them.
MTHS is the newest of all of the three academic buildings, and not only sets students up for academic excellence, but also houses a beautiful gym, performing arts center, and a spacious agricultural shop. Also, many of our fall student-athletes have the chance to enjoy playing on the new football field, which has turf. Spectators have the chance to see what our media classes do, in interviewing many of our student-athletes, and showcase them on our video scoreboard. We are so thankful to our community members, many of whom also appear on the video scoreboard as gracious donors to numerous school activities, for providing MTLSD students with the opportunity to learn and participate in extracurricular activities in the best possible environment.
MTLSD works diligently to provide students of all different abilities and learning styles and of all different backgrounds with the best educational experience that public schools have to offer. As always, our MTHS students and staff are proud to be a part of our Panther community! Let’s make it another great school year.
Go Panthers,
Bryan Sheets, MTHS Principal
