Rachel Farris has been a teacher at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School since 2015. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Prior to having children, she taught Kindergarten and Second Grade from 2003-2008. Rachel was born and raised in Columbia, Tennessee. She lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband, Byran, and two children, Chaney and Cole. In her spare time, she enjoys family time, ballgames, organizing, traveling, and helping her husband with beekeeping.

Hello! I was born and raised in Tennessee. I am a loving wife and a proud mother of a daughter and a son. I have worked at Mt. Pleasant Elementary since 2014 and feel blessed to get to work with an amazing faculty and staff. My first year at MPES I worked as a head start assistant for the pre-k (which I loved) but when the position for the Family Resource Center Clerk came available, it really caught my eye. I have always enjoyed helping those in need and this position just seem perfect for me. It’s a joy working with Mr. Baker (he is definitely one of a kind)! Our mission at the FRC is to give kids a chance for a better life by strengthening families and I'm so happy to be a part of a rewarding program!!!
