Cyndy Henke
I have been a teacher at MPES since 2009 and in Maury County since 2004. Prior to moving to Tennessee I taught in Sarasota County Florida, which is also where I attended and graduated from the University of South Florida/Sarasota. I recently completed my Master's degree and am eager to use some of my learnings in my upcoming classroom. I am the parent of three, Alexis (MTSU) who lives and works in Denver; Kali (Martin Methodist) who is living and working in Nashville; and Mikael who will be attending APSU in the fall. I am also the pet parent to two dogs, one cat, and two horses. I cannot wait to meet my new class and help lead them to love learning as much as I love to teach and learn!

I have been teaching at MPES since 2017. I graduated from MTSU in 2016 with a Bachelors in Education. I am very fortunate to work at such a wonderful school filled with people who truly care about the success of our Tiger Cubs! I love teaching and learning from my students each day. I live in Mt. Pleasant with my husband; Josh and three daughters; Evelyn, Charlotte, and Nora. You may see my daughters at MPES, as they are also Tiger Cubs! We love to spend time together traveling and going on adventures.

I grew up in Santa Fe and attended Santa Fe Unit School K-12. My dream of becoming a teacher began in Kindergarten, so after graduation, I attended Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN where I earned my BS degree in Early Childhood Education. I began my teaching career at MPES in 2003 and have loved every minute! Each day I get to come to work and help children grow as learners and readers.
I live in Columbia with my husband, Brian, and we have 3 children, Austin, Kaylee, and Adam. We love spending time together and even have a family YouTube channel. When I actually have time to myself, I enjoy reading and watching Hallmark movies. I'm excited to begin another wonderful school year at Mt. Pleasant Elementary, where students come first! -

I got my Associates from Columbia State Community College and my Bachelors from Middle Tennessee State University with their 2+2 program.
I grew up in Culleoka and attended Culleoka Unit School. After college my husband and I got married and moved to Alabama for his job. During that time I worked at daycare in Athens and taught the four year old class. After living there for 5 years we decided we wanted to move back to Culleoka and raise our family here.
